Wonderful News today! Yesterday Julia received the last round of chemo for this 5th cycle of the Inter Maintenance II phase! The next two weeks are rest & recovery weeks. We will go to the clinic next week to get a blood test in case she needs any blood products to help her.
Flyover highlights on what has happened these last 10 days;
Last week Wednesday Julia's stool sample tested positive for CDiff. Praise be to God we caught it on time, with no fever or hospitalization. We immediately started antibiotics and her symptoms of diarrhea stopped as of Saturday am. Nothing short of God's leading & guidance.
Sunday afternoon we met the Rofer family. They gave our family a generous grant & beautiful basket for Julia. This family is so beautiful, kind & incredibly inspiring. Please check out their story & foundation, they honor the legacy of their Angel son Bradley. This Sunday 4/21 they are hosting the 2nd Annual Honor Walk BradleyBeautifulBouquets Honor Walk!
Julia's numbers held up again all 10 days, we took her in Monday for labs she was low all around but her body fought through & through and maintained making counts for yesterday's chemo.
My older daughter Geo just launched her summer passion project. Check out the story & heart behind it. Geo's storytelling is truly a gift and she hopes to raise awareness to childhood cancer & share a slice of her heart, as she's been front & center of Julia's battle. As for Juju & I, it has been a wonderful adventure to follow the cycle of several beautiful butterflies this spring, is a gift that Geo is inspired to tell it in a short story film. You can read more and support her film at this GoFundMe link: https://gofund.me/164af7d0
Thank you so much for your love & prayers! You continue to rejoice with us as we report good news, and become concerned as we face bumps in treatment! Thank you with all of my heart. I'm grateful for you all and I thank God for having you on Julia's team. Praying peace & hope over you.
Our prayer request for Julia these next two weeks is that she metabolizes this last round of chemo out of her body, her immune system continues to get stronger, her bone marrow to continue to produce healthy good cells, and God's protection over any viruses.
”May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.“
Romans 15:13 AMP
Our hope is in the Lord!

Milkweeds, Butterfly, catapillars...

Can you count the caterpillars on the first corner pic.? I'm so thankful for the collaboration of our neighbor Cindy & Dan letting us take the caterpillars into a safety net that I borrowed from our other neighbor Diane! 🐛🦋

Look at the size of these lemons!! We got huge lemons this year. We've been enjoying lots of homemade cherry lemonade, lemon bars, scampi, all lemon things! Want any lemons just let me know.

I opened the comments that young Landis just sent me and saw the butterfly on her hand and I was jolted how beautiful it was. May God flow within your hearts his sustaining Joy and peace
Julia has the warmest smile. What a great experience to see the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. All creation points back to the Lord. It always reminds me of
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.
Praise God for all the blessings in the midst of the storm. We will be praying that in this next two weeks Juju would get stronger and for more sweet family time like this. Love you friend! ❤️
It’s so heartbreaking to see little Juju having to battle through so much but yet there is so much beauty coming out of the life of little Juju and the Escobar family.🥹
I truly see God’s strength and power seeing little Juju’s body overcome the harshness of all the chemo treatments and the side effects that it brings.
Also, praising God for families like the Rofer family 🥹
Extremely proud of Geo’s summer passion story and praying for God’s blessings on her short story film sharing her heart about the childhood cancer awareness as she was in the front lines with little Juju’s battle from the beginning.
Continuing to pray for His strength, wisdom, guidance, peace, comfort, healing, and His…
