Tuesday 8/1 - 11pm update
Most of the below I was ready to send last Tuesday night, but Julia suffered a seizure & you know what transpired in my last few blogs. Praise be to God our little sunshine has bounced back very well!
“Who sent this?” Cutest question juju has been asking every day, several times a day!
From day one that we made Julia’s condition known, she’s been showered with so much love from so many of you following her journey. She’s been posing this question daily. Julia is learning many of your names and is also asking me to call you! So if I text you ‘are you available?’, it is possible she wants to put a face to the name & talk to you😂 I keep telling her this is from your Tia (Auntie) ________, by the end of this journey she will surely have gained a large extended family💕
Thanks everyone for your prayers! That is the greatest gift we could ask for, we are eternally grateful! I make sure to tell her too, that there are many fervently praying for her.
Julia had a rough last week; hospitalization for a couple of days filled with different uncomfortable tests. Yet we managed to bring a little fun into her days, like riding on the hospital IV hanger, ssshhh! Not allowed 🙈 her little laugh is priceless! We bought a kiddie inflatable pool and she’s enjoying it, even if it’s only for 10 minutes, it is the highlight of her day.
This week we are entering Week 5 out of 8 in the Intensification phase. The next couple of weeks are really hard IV & Oral chemotherapies;
She’ll get her port accessed (🙏🏼 pray peace/comfort) still hard to get used to this process
We will administer IV chemo at home - Thursday through Saturday x (2 weeks)
Daily oral chemotherapy medicine for the next 14 days
Other oral meds for side effect & prolific care.
Prayer Request:
Physical strength to withstand the chemo side effects. These two weeks make her blood numbers drop, causing potential infusions.
Blood/platelets supply - due to the antibodies issue ‘Coombs’, getting her blood and platelets are difficult & lengthy in time.
Protection over any bacteria/fungus/infection - she will keep her port accessed for us to administer chemo, there’s always a risk with her line getting compromised.
No complications 🙏🏼
For us parent’s confidence, wisdom & peace in all areas caring for juju.
Thank you for remembering our little sunshine in your prayers this week.
In God we Trust!
“David replied to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”
1 Samuel 17:45 NLT
A friend had shared this with me last week. It Made me think of Julia’s feisty & brave spirit, in a few short months she’s overcome so much!

Julia definitely has the spirit of David in her to fight this giant! To your left juju is not very happy & ready to pick a battle because of grown Orbeez everywhere, and to your right is little me at around her same age ready to go to battle for taking the cake box away from me!
FIERCE 🙈 she is a mini me, that brow & arm stance, bring it on💕you got this juju!

All in one week! A little hospital fun & enjoying a few minutes by the pool!

Continued prayers for your sweet and precious Juju and the rest of the family. Praying for God's strength, comfort and peace during this time. Sending love, hugs and prayers. ❤️
Awww juju. She is your little mini me. She looks taller too. so precious. Continued prayers everyday! She is so blessed with love. Please hug her for me. Love you all!💖🩷❤️
Little Juju is a sunshine indeed! Even in the midst of this tough storm, her joy shines brightly through it.
God definitely made little Juju strong as David a true duplicate of her godly faithful mother. What a testimony your family is portraying!
Continuing to pray for little Juju to withstand all the treatment with as little side effects as possible and beat this cancer for good.
Praying for continued strength, peace, joy, and God’s provisions (spiritual, mental and physical health) for the whole Escobar family🙏🏼💕
Praying for favor and that she has the strength of Samson! She is beautiful inside and out. You are doing so well in creating great memories
Juju is such a cutie! I can't help but hear Esther 4:14 repeatedly in my head every time I read an update. Maybe she was born for such a time as this. Her resilience and her fight is amazing and such a testimony. And look at how she is gathering her community, her village around her. We are all coming to our knees before our Father in her name. The resources being poured out. I can only imagine the faith and character refining happening in your own family right now, let alone all of us following the journey. God, maybe Juju was born for such a time as this. And we all know God is working all of this for…
