IM - Week 8

Fancy Julia😍 @her eye appointment this week

Thursday 12/7 update - 11pm

Julia has been doing wonderful! Last week as we left the hospital her numbers were trending down. Tuesday we had our week 8 clinic appointment to check on her numbers. She had a slow blood flow, nothing was coming out as they accessed her port, it took some hydration, jumping jacks, lifting arms, massage around her port area & PRAYER! Until finally after 45 minutes the blood started flow.

Numbers came back trending up! Not a huge jump, but moving in the right direction.  She still neutropenic (low defenses) and still on her daily oral chemo medication, the daily amount given was reduced to a sweet spot, and is not depleting her RBC & platelets.

I love to see Julia enthusiasm towards the advent calendar daily devotional, craft & chocolatito/surprise that she gets at the end of the day. Today is day 7th in the advent calendar and we did the drive true live Nativity at FCC of HB, it was a lovely & safe experience for juju. For our advent devotional these words from day 5 had stood out to me this week:

“For the word of God will never fail.””

Amen!!! God's word does not fail: He is with us, He is guiding us, we are loved by Him, He has given us favor, He is our healer, He has been shelter & refuge, He has given us hope, strength and love to cast out all of our fears, He's given me much grace & forgiveness when I lose it. So much more, thankful for the faith that anchors my soul.

Our hope is in the Lord!
