USA USA USA! Juju lights up every time she sees an American flag! We had a wonderful month watching the Olympics, where Julia was captivated by so many events, especially gymnastics. She’s been brimming with energy, whether she’s riding her scooter or bike, bouncing on her trampoline, doing ballet once a week, or enthusiastically shouting “Ready, set, go!”

Today was clinic day, and Juju was in great spirits. Her access and de-access went smoothly once again. We’re starting a new 12-week maintenance cycle, today included one IV chemo, a lumbar puncture with chemo under sedation, and daily oral chemo. She also began a 5-day course of steroid oral medicine tonight. We’re pleased to see her blood lab numbers holding steady. Her next appointment is in four weeks.

Please keep Juju in your prayers, especially that the side effects of the steroids remain manageable. Last round, she experienced significant bone pain. Pray for her continued good health, energy, and a successful start to TK. We hope her immune system stays strong as she joins group classes and that her appetite for healthy foods improves. We are deeply grateful for your prayers and love.

The Olympic events and our church study of Hebrews & reading through the book of Corinthians have been incredibly inspiring. Hebrews 12:1-2 reminds us to "Run with endurance the race God has set before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus." And in 1 Corinthians 9:25, we’re encouraged that "Athletes win a prize that will fade, but we do it for an eternal prize." The relay races, especially the women's events, were amazing if you didn't watch the please looked them up 'USA women's 4x100 or 4x400'—there’s something special about the baton handoff and the focused run to the finish line. The Bible often compares our faith journey to a race, and I find great inspiration in that. May God continue to inspire us to live our lives with faith and dedication, honoring Him in all we do. He is faithful and never fails!
