This is the Day…

It has been a great weekend for Julia. The happiest and most comfortable we’ve seen her since her diagnosis. She’s been pedaling from room to room on her new little bike (a prayer answered for mobility ❤️ TY Bald family). She’s been asking for healthy stuff like avocados & smoothies, Praise the Lord! She’s been playing with legos, painting and playing doctor with her babies. She’s developed the cutest little laughter, melts our hearts.

We are so thankful to God for His faithfulness, and we are so thankful for all your prayers! Asking God to bless you above & beyond for your intercession.

Thursday, our pediatric home nurse came to change her IV and teach us how to change it ourselves. Jeremy and I successfully did our first change today 🙌🏼

Friday was a quick visit to the clinic to check her blood levels. Her results show healthy regrowth (hallelujah) and retention, even after chemotherapy. Hemoglobin is a lot better (compared to the low levels she had previous weeks requiring blood transfusions). Her electrolytes are within normal range. She still needed a platelets transfusion, yet her numbers were not bad and doctor wanted to assure she was covered over the weekend.

Her energy level & joy has been inspiring! God is so good!

I met an incredible new sister in Christ & sponsor who’s daugther beat the battle of leukemia years back! Her Daugther is now 13 years old, beautiful & thriving. They are also the founders of this non-profit https://www.prevailingcrowns.org/

Juju will be rocking one of these in future months ❤️ We are inspired and filled with hope.

We are currently on day 19/29 Induction phase. This week we enter week 4

• Blood work appointments

• 2 chemotherapies

• Continue IV 24/7 medication for another week

We are also praying for day 29 - this will be a big day. We appreciate your prayers for this day on week 5.

• Day 29

• Julia will be fasting (until @11am)

• LP (lumbar puncture invasive Chemotherapy)

• Bone Marrow (biopsy - confirms if there is any blast/malignant cells in her BM)

• Results determine the path of her 2nd phase (consolidation treatment)

We are filled with hope as we look to Jesus, the author & finisher of our Faith!
