Friday, June 2nd Update - 5PM
Hallelujah Praise the Lord! Our prayers have been answered, thank you so much for your love and prayers!
Today at 1:30 pm we received a visit from the infectious disease control Doctor. The Doctor came to confirm that Julia’s blood culture taken last night came back positive for a growth, a streptococcus species. The diagnoses pointed directly to the source of Julia’s high fevers. A simple infection that normal people can fight off daily is a battle for Julia, triggering fevers in the 102-103 range, depleting her even more making her even more defenseless after chemotherapy.
The good news is Julia’s Doctors have prescribed a strong antibiotic that is made to specifically target and eliminate this bacteria. Until Julia has three consecutive negative blood cultures, we are unable to return home.
If someone prayed specifically for her diet! Thank you…today she started asking for foods that she never would asked for before 😛🙏🏼 Acai bowl & cheese pizza!
Prayer Request:
Medication treating this bacteria start working swiftly - this morning fever was 103.3 - took over an hour to start dropping
Her body to continue take all medications well & leukemia treatment well and able to metabolize and be renew daily
Joy & comfort from God, I can see her little spirit is sad & tired, she asks to go home often. We are bathing her in love, hugs and kisses, but she wants to go home

Yes, thank you Lord for answering our prayers! Thank you for giving doctors wisdom where to target the fever was coming from. Thank you for the medications for treating little precious Juju. Dear Lord, please give little Juju all that she needs to fight against whatever comes her way and give her victory. Please give strength, hope, peace, wisdom, and love to every member of the Escobar family and even joy during this difficult season in life. May they become closer and stronger in you together as a family.
