'Social Butterfly' - CD 461d EOT

CD (countdown) 461 days until EOT (end of treatment)

Look at our little sunshine! She's been feeling great. We had clinic day yesterday, Julia received a lumbar puncture with chemo and a couple of other medication infusions. Her blood & platelet numbers were good, but her ANC (Immune system - white blood cells which fights infections) is very low - making her neutropenic.

Due to her depleted ANC numbers, her oral chemo has been suspended for the next two weeks. To allow her immune system to recover. We will be back to the clinic for lab work in two weeks, and based on those results her doctors will restart the oral chemo at a lower dose. The point of this phase is for her body to maintain and it will take some tests & trials until the perfect dose is matched.

Julia is a true social butterfly! Loves people, parties & anything that has to do with interacting specially with children & pets. Last week she accompanied me to a graduation gathering, she walked in there announcing the graduate's name, another day we took her to Homedepot and she was striding with style loving every moment, I also took her to say goodbye to a dear friend who moved out of Cali, juju wanted to keep her cute dog! I've noticed a good change in her longer lasting energy levels, even her skin color looks healthier, great appetite & so much character & mature growth, I'm filled with hope & gratitude.

Greatly appreciate your prayers for Julia's immune system to get stronger daily, for our diligence in keeping her safe from any viruses, practicing caution in sharing drinks or food with her, wearing masks in public places and good cleaning practices to keep a germs-free environment. Please pray for her Oncologist to consult & study Julia's history of these oral chemos and make an assertive decision on the next dosage.
