In Juju's sweet little voice last night, 'I'm so happy to be home'. We got released yesterday afternoon. Her energy and playfulness are not back yet, she's slowly recovering. I'm so grateful for your prayers. I'm thankful for our God's keeping power over the life of our little sunshine.
One immediate blood test they took upon arrival was a C-RP test, which showed Julia arrived at the ER at a 70% risk of becoming septic. So they treated her immediately with a wide antibiotic to treat a wide spectrum of blood bacteria until the cultures came back with a bacteria name hit. Yesterday C-RP test came back with that level dropping to 7%, and it will continue to go down. Nothing short of God's protection over my weak little juju.
I'm so incredibly thankful for the care & love from the medical team, beyond anything we deserve. Nothing short of God's favor poured upon us.
The plan for this week: she will need to have a full coarse treatment to treat the E.coli bacteria via IV & take oral antibiotics for the leg insect bite that turned into Cellulitis. She will be on both antibiotics for the next 10 days. The next phase of her treatment will be delayed until March 6th. This time will allow Juju to recover and ensure she makes the needed numbers to start the next round of her treatment.
Thank you for praying for my little sunshine, for her physical strength, complete healing from both of these 'blood & skin' bacteria, for her appetite to return, for willingness to take the oral medication, for her bone marrow & defenses to continue to trend upwards, for healing rest and for her sweet joyful spirit to keep shinning. God's peace, strength & joy in this season. Thank you, lovely family! I give thanks to our God for all of you interceding for my Julia, blessings, grace & peace over you in Jesus name.
