Tuesday - March 19th - 8am

Hello family, it's been the longest I've gone without sending an update. In the last blog I mentioned that Julia's chemo treatments are every 10 days in this phase, therefore my updates will get a little bit more sparse. Julia is doing well. Her appetite is up, she is sleeping well and her energy level has improved not to the point of getting out of her jammies yet, but better. Her doctor put her back on antibiotics to treat jujus leg cellulitis. Thankfully it's getting smaller, she's supposed to stay on this medication for another 3 weeks, until it is completely gone basically.

Yesterday Julia started her 2nd treatment in week 3 of this Interim Maintenance II, she got two chemotherapy infusions and a globulin boost infusion to supplement her body protein production (helps liver/kidneys). Some of the expected side effects from these chemos are constipation, nausea, and eye irritation that causes eye ticks. One new thing that has surfaced since the last chemo two Thursdays ago is cold sweats, we are keeping an eye on & continue nausea medication 24/7 to try to control the side effects of chemos.

Aside from all the serious stuff, what has our little sunshine been up to? She's been observing insects in our garden, we'll share more about this likely in my next post, gala/party event, swimming big pool & kiddy pool, warm baths, homework, playing Mario with dad, and lots of other fun little things.

Have you ever heard of the Jessie Reese Foundation? They are a wonderful organization that reaches out to families with kids battling cancer in honor & legacy of their daughter Jessie Reese, local to Orange County yet present throughout the entire United States and in other 27 countries, they are so impactful that my oldest Geo started volunteering weekly filling joy jars at their headquarters, super cool. Their motto is Never Ever Give Up, juju loves to say this motto too! I dare to say is the 1st word she's learned how to read. We were recipients of an invitation to their yearly NEGU Gala & also to enjoy a night stay at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim this past weekend. Juju had so much anticipation for this event, and it didn't disappoint. I'm beyond thankful for making memories with my girl & feeling so happy to see her smiles and excitement. We were so blessed to have wonderful company at the gala, our friends Erika & Olivia Prevailing Crowns. They are beacons of hope for us in this journey. Beautiful Olivia is a childhood cancer survivor, it simply fills me with so much hope & joy to be around these beautiful (inside and outside) daughters of our King.

Thanks!!! dear family for hanging in here with us on this journey, always remembering our little sunshine's name in your prayers and interceding for Julia's complete healing. May God bless you abundantly, and fill you with grace, peace & love.

”You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. Trust [confidently] in the Lord forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].“

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Our hope is in the Lord!
