That is my Julia riding her bike so comfortably that she dares to take her hands off the handle. Juju has been doing great, so full of energy and desires to do so many things. It feels like her old normal self, she's a little weak physically, but her spirit soars. We tried to emerge back a couple of our old outings. We took her to the beach & the park, she had so much fun. Juju also tried a couple of new foods that she would not had before, so thankful for moments like this.
Juju was supposed to start the next cycle yesterday Monday, but she didn't meet the numbers, red blood cell count & platelets were great, but her ANC did not meet the requirements, she's neutropenic, therefore getting another week to help her recover.
What's ANC?
"A low Absolute Neutrophil Count (ANC) does not typically indicate that you are actively fighting an infection; rather, it means that your body's capacity to fight off infections is diminished. Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell crucial for combating infections, particularly bacterial infections. When ANC levels are low, it's a condition known as neutropenia. This can make you more susceptible to infections because you have fewer neutrophils available to destroy harmful bacteria or fungi that enter the body. Neutropenia can be caused by various factors, including chemotherapy, certain medications, bone marrow disorders, and some diseases that impact the immune system."
The next cycle is called "MAINTENANCE" - in this phase, the goal for our doctors is to find the perfect dose of daily oral chemos, this new cycle will last until September of 2025. It will take some trial & error until Julia successfully maintains her numbers at a normal base without dropping. This new treatment might take a month or months until a perfect balance is achieved, please pray for the doctors to find her perfect daily cocktail.
Thank you for your faithfulness in checking Julia's updates! This means so much to us.
If you can join us in praying for Julia's ANC/Defenses to recover so that she can continue with this last phase of her treatment, I noticed a few sniffles today may it not be anything serious like a cold, dizziness to stay at bay, for good restful sleep, patience for her as we try to keep her indoors this week. Thanks, dear family! Praying for blessings and peace over you.
“but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.”

God sure made little Juju a mighty warrior 💪🏼🥰
I am truly blessed to see all the joyful moments that you were able to capture on camera 📸
Continuing to pray along side you for little Juju’s ANC/Defenses to recover so that she can continue with this last phase of her treatment and also for God to give wisdom and guidance to the doctors to find the perfect dose of daily oral chemos for the maintaining phase.
Praising the Lord for His faithfulness and for all His blessings in the midst of this storm 🙌🏼🙏🏼💕
Love you Escobar family 💕
