Today was clinic day for our little sunshine to check her blood counts—hemoglobin, platelets, and especially her ANC. The results came back okay, with her ANC reaching the benchmark to restart her oral chemo. According to protocol, she'll restart at the original prescribed dose, which is a bit frustrating. We have another appointment next Wednesday for labs, where they'll adjust the dose if her numbers dip again. Please pray that Juju continues to feel well with minor side effects, for wisdom for her medical team to make the best decisions, and for me to be vigilant, informed, and a strong advocate for her. I often feel unprepared with the right questions or pushing further.
Julia has been buzzing with summer activities! We had a staycation while our oldest filmed her short film at home, so we relocated to a hotel for a day. We took her to the local zoo, and we even had a train adventure, she did great. We visited our church for a dance camp she participated in one of the offered classes. The cutest thing lately? She introduces herself everywhere to both kids & adults: "Hi, I'm Julia - J U L I A - 9.9.19". Thanks to the hospital banners & clinic visits these are routine information she's heard and boy does she repeat everything.
