Update - Tuesday 7/18 - 11pm

Hi everyone, here is a picture of Juju riding out of the hospital In style! Thank you for remembering Julia in your prayers during this time.

Julia has been in wonderful spirits, playing, singing & dressing up. She still on antibiotics to treat the C-diff, and still experiencing diarrhea, but thankfully no stomach aches or fevers.

Monday we went back to clinic to check blood labs, and the report was amazing! Bone marrow is working creating RBC, seems that the antibodies have retreated as we see an uptrend. She’s also creating her own platelets and the electrolytes  were at good levels in spite of the loose stools. She didn’t need any infusions, this was big for us. Last week her Oncologist wanted Julia’s body to recover and miss a week of treatment. Tomorrow, Wednesday Juju is back on schedule to continue, she will start week 3 of 8, in this phase of treatment.

She is schedule for a couple of procedures:

  • Lumbar puncture with chemo

  • IV chemotherapy

Appreciate your prayer for our little sunshine!

  • Physical strength to withstand the chemo side effects.

  • Her gut to get to the healthy levels of bacteria she needs to be C-Diff and diarrhea free.

  • Calmness - she starting to realize clinic visits are no fun and involves pain. We need the peace of God to comfort her.

Thanks friends for following Julia’s journey! I feel connected with all of you as you allow me to share and ask for support in prayer.

I will like to briefly share a beautiful way God met me this weekend! It was healing and eye opening. Saturday morning I decided to take ME time and have garden Theraphy! 🌸❤️ (Pulled weeds, cut overgrown branches & cut flower for a vase) in this time short 2-3hr. The following happened:

~ I met a new neighbor, he was walking his dog. He lived in our neighborhood for 21yrs. Just like us, I had no idea who he was. I still can hold a normal conversation (surprisingly) lol☺️.. he was telling me he had lost a couple of battles against crab weeds, they are resistant and almost impossible to get rid of them. Anyways that didn’t stop me, I kept going at it! Take everything with a grain of salt

~ A wonderful family across our house husband & wife, approached me with a gift for Julia, they’ve been wanting to say something but were not sure how to approach. My time with them was a healing gift for my soul. I had not realized the amount of grief I had in me. They are believers and they exemplified the love of Jesus in flesh, they had listening ears and cried with me, and allowed me to ugly weep. I had not experienced this with anyone face to face since Julia’s diagnosis. Their care & generosity is something I will carry with me through this journey. “Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief].”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬ ‘Thank you Bushra family’💕

~ Another close by neighbor across our home, came by a few minutes later to tell me she's read about juju, she came with a beautiful gift of cage free eggs from their own chicken coop 🐓 the most significant thing we shared is we both are fighting with a love one in this battle against cancer🙏🏼 This moment opened my eyes, I need to lift my head and look up! there are others who are also fighting difficult battles, suffering with different things, but all cause same grieving pain & fears. Praying for this beautiful family as well.

God is working a beautiful story! Even with pain and tears, I believe it! Without faith in Jesus I would had lost all hope, but He continues to be the strength of our heart.

“Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬
