End of IM - Week 9

Wednesday 12/13 update - 11pm

This week marks the end of the 3rd phase-Interim Maintenance (IM) and it is a free week with no meds or any treatments happening. This will allow Julia's body to recover and be ready for the 4th phase of her treatment, which starts Monday the 18th.

We had a blood work appointment on Monday and the results came back very good. Her doctor was very pleased at juju's recovery numbers. Thank you Jesus & thanks to all of you for your sweet prayers.

Juju has been doing wonderful! She has had a good appetite, filled with energy, joy, Christmas anticipation, sassiness around her brother, and girliness dressing up, taking pictures and doing silly videos with her older sissy. She FaceTimes with her aunty & cousins almost daily. I'm thankful for every minute of her sweet life.

God has been so beyond gracious & good to us! I was so encouraged by the message our pastor Geoff shared last Sunday, 'While We Wait'; Be Faithfully Obedient to God, Be Spirit Lead, Don't Waste the Wait. It truly spoke to my heart affirming the little things I'm doing to keep moving forward towards Jesus while we wait, some prayer answers take a little longer than others, but God is faithful. He will do what He said He would do. Simeon & Anna are perfect examples to this, waiting for their promised Savior (Luke 2:25-39). We also had a couple of the most wonderful unexpected visits! This truly has humbled me and is teaching me that there's more for me to grow, more to learn, more to love, more to honor Christ’s name and genuinely love others like He loves.

I'm beyond grateful to be part of the family of Christ at Refuge. I can't adequately express enough gratitude. The strength & encouragement they have brought to us in this season is a gift from God. Personally, I thought I knew all about how to love & serve others…but man I knew so little. I am learning. Thank you family in Christ for your selflessness, and for being the hands & feet of Jesus. It is inspiring and I have learned so much from you and I can't wait to be given a chance to love & serve others like you have loved on us.
