Delay in Week 5

Wedneesday -  update 8/2 - 9pm

Our little sunshine’s treatment this week 5 is delayed until Monday.

Her blood count this morning showed she is at 740 ANC. She needed a minimum of 750 to continue for this week of her intensification phase.

What is ANC?

“The absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is an estimate of the body's ability to fight infections, especially bacterial infections. These test results are often referred to as a patient's “counts.” An ANC measures the number of neutrophils in the blood. Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell that kills bacteria.”

The rest of this week juju gets to continue to build up her immune system (rest, play, eat & recover) with minimum Prophylactic  medications, no chemo this week. We have to be diligent keeping her in isolation, washing hands, not sharing any food/drinks, basically need to keep her in a bubble even inside our home.

Pray for Julia to recover her ANC in order to continue treatment, our diligence to keep her safe in anyway possible to not catch any bugs, and help her recover.

God is in control and in Him we trust!
