Tuesday 10/31 - 12am update
Julia was supposed to start her last in hospital 24hr. chemo yesterday, but she didn't make numbers. She's still struggling with the tail end of a cold/cough & bone marrow recovery is very slow this week. She is low in blood & platelets (not too low to require transfusions) & her ANC is at neutropenic levels.
The plan for this week is to continue to rest & recover. We are happy to be home this week. We can enjoy carving her pumpkin and celebrate Jeremy's birthday this week. We are not able to take her out at all or socialize her due to her low ANC.
Thank you for caring about Julia's updates. Thanks for your continued prayers, it means more than what you can imagine; would you join us in asking our Heavenly Father to strengthen Julia's immune system and help her fight small viruses such as this cold. Please pray that she may enjoy this week's celebrations. May I ask for a special blessing for my husband Jeremy on his birthday, for this new year ahead to be great, thank you.
We had a special start to fall season. Our Oncologist care team put on a beautiful event this last Friday to cater to the families of littles facing pediatric cancer, and Julia had the time of her life (as you can see in pic. above). We are so grateful for our care team and the thoughtfulness behind every detail. It gave us a little glance of normalcy of the coming season of celebrations, not all is lost, it's just different.
Pastor Levy Lusko had a really good short devo that reminded me today that is ok to feel tierd, but God will never allowed us to be burned out!! Is a couple of minutes, if you have time click on the link below, enjoy!
