Friday, February 16th update - 7 am
It's been a slow and long week. Last Thursday was the worst appointment we had in a long time. Julia had a hard time removing her chest access, she threw a 'terrible-twos' tantrum, very unlike her. As a consequence, she was not allowed to take a prize from the treasure chest at the end of her visit due to not practicing 'Safe body'. Our nurse was so amazing at handling this situation and teaching juju. The whole weekend she practiced 'safe body' and wrote a little card to say sorry to her nurse for her behavior. Juju learned that a safe body is priority number one, and she did fabulous in this new week's appointments.
Last Thursday we had the Neurology consultation, and Julia was clear and ruled out her symptoms as an ocular tick & dry eyes. Brain was remarkable. She was clear to proceed with the chemotherapy that targets the lumbar fluid, this is a drug that puts cancer in deeper remission & is necessary to her treatments. On Monday we had clinic labs day, and she had a platelets transfusion. Yesterday, Thursday Julia received the last chemotherapy of this Delayed Intensification. Praise Jesus! She did great. Now she has two weeks of rest to allow her body to recover.
Thank you for your prayers for my little sunshine. I'm so grateful to know you lift her up to God. My prayers for Juju this week are for her body to recover, and bone marrow to produce healthy cells and maintain. Protection from any viruses. Appreciate your prayers for, strength, peace & God's wisdom as I deal with other stuff. Thank you, family!
”Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.“
Romans 8:18, 38 NLT
Our hope is in the Lord!
Our new weekend hobby, visiting little free libraries around our area!

Amen 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Praise the Lord for answering our prayers with great neurology report and giving little Juju a push of strength to finish this phase. I’m so sorry this one was one of the toughest.
We are so proud of little Juju for not giving up and keep on fighting, and for you, mama Warrior Evelyn for sticking so close to the little Warrior fighting this battle with her. Most of all, we are so grateful that the Lord is carrying all of you through this rough journey and have complete faith that the Escobar family will come through victorious because He is with them.
Continuing to pray for God’s abundant blessings, peaceful rest, and restoration from the chemo and protection against…
Continue prayers!! 💗
Continuing to pray for your sweet precious Juju. Thank you for the updates. I have a picture of her from Christmas on my dresser which reminds me to pray for her regularly, as well as on my desk at work. Lord bless you all. ❤️
