Wednesday - 5/31 update
God is good! Today was a long and tiring day for Jeremy and me, yet nothing compared to what our sunshine Julia had to endure in just one day.
God answered our prayer for strength. She's a champion, showing the clinic staff and us that she will fight this battle with all her might. We woke up at 6:30 am, and it was the toughest car ride we've had as parents because Julia needed to fast until the Lumbar Puncture (LP) at 11 am. Julia cried, screamed, and made it loud and clear that she needed to eat! She cried out for noodle soup, Cheetos, pirate booties, McDonald's—you name it! (Picture above after LP)
She endured blood tests, daily oral meds, a platelet transfusion, a lumbar puncture, two different chemo infusions, a blood transfusion, other meds via IV, and getting unplugged.
Her blood test numbers were very low, and we need to return this Friday to see if she needs a blood transfusion and/or platelets.
Prayer Requests:
Physical strength: She has become very weak in her legs and arms. She can only take a few steps. We seek divine strength from God for her little body and ask for guidance to research ways to implement a physical exercise routine to help her in this area.
Blood test numbers on Friday: We pray for healthy cell growth, showing that her body is fighting and producing good cells, and that the chemotherapy isn't wiping them out completely.
Protection over our family: We face other issues and challenges that we need to overcome. God knows the details.
Thank you for your continued prayers. A dear friend of mine asked if we had anything planned for prayer and fasting. I know this is short notice, but if you are able to join us in prayer and fasting tomorrow, Thursday 6/1, in any way you can, that would be incredible. Seek the Lord first if you can join us. Thank you for bringing our sunshine Julia to God's wonderful throne of grace and mercy. I will also be thinking and praying for many of you and myself, as we face our own challenges, for God's touch and His wonderful hand to restore what He knows we need most. 🙏🏼

Dear Evelyn, thank you for keeping the updates of Juju’s difficult journey along with your family’s. I truly admire your faith. I will join you in fasting and praying for God’s continued strength, comfort, peace, healing and restoration for Juju and your family.
May the Lord provide all the needs and keep your minds captive in Him.
May the Lord touch the doctors, nurses, and all hospital staff for compassion and wisdom.

Evelyn I can’t imagine the exhaustion. Yet you make the time to update. Will definitely be joining tomorrow in fasting and praying for Juju and the Escobar family. May the Lord continue to strengthen and heal and make provisions. How comforting that access to His throne for our petitions has been made wide open to us because of Jesus death and resurrection. I pray you all find comfort in knowing so many will be continuing in prayer to the God greater than all things ♥️
