July 5th - 9pm update
I hope you all had a great 4th of July! We are blessed to live and be part of this great nation. Take it from a girl who grew up in a 3rd world country!
We are in week 2 of consolidation/phase 2 of Julia’s treatment. Today was clinic day; fasting, bloodwork, spinal tap with chemotherapy under sedation, needle port change, a 2nd chemotherapy push via IV, a 3rd oral chemo med, still on the antibiotic IV 24/7, several other meds to help Julia with nausea and stomach ache. 🙏🏼 is a lot for her little body!
Something we did different today and will not happen again! Medical team offered & we agreed to give juju a relaxer
“to take the edge off” after her procedure. Well, it actually backfired and it made her extremely agitated. I had denied this medication last week, doctor came to talk to me today saying it will help her. Now we know this is a huge mistake, I rather have her kick & scream, than turn into a mini hulk! We are living and learning every single day.
Today’s blood numbers looked like Julia’s bone marrow is working great! Hemoglobin/Red blood cells dropped slightly. We’ve been made aware today that with all of the chemo she is currently taking her blood count will plummet by end of next week.
Prayer Request:
God’s divine hand to strengthen our Julia physically & emotionally.
Julia’s character as she experiences pain & discomfort to find peace, strength & self-control (she’s screaming/crying a lot in the clinic when changing her needle or waking up from sedation🙏🏼)
Mild/No physical side effects (nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite). May these be kept at bay.
To remain fever free - Protection from any new meds reactions, new viruses, bacterias, fungus or infections. Julia is currently neutropenic and everything attaches to her, this is #1 reason we are in isolation.
Wisdom for us parents in this phase of Julia’s treatment.
Thank you dear friends! Please know I am so appreciative of your time and prayers. I know the Lord is ever present and your prayers are heard. God is so good in my weakness He continues to show me that is by His strength alone that I continue to stand.
“Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT
In God we Trust!
New hair cut, she’s excited about her hair growing back like Rapunzel or Isabella from Encanto

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies [cancer] before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!’ Deuteronomy 33:26-27
Aww, she is such a cutie! Will continue to pray on a daily basis. (((Hugs))))
Continuing to pray for God’s protection, wisdom, guidance, provisions for all the needs for each phase, and for strength to stand/push through all the obstacles…. It’s so true what the Word says…. when we are weak He is Strong….
But, He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all
more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV also one of my life verses🙏🏼😊
Your little sunshine Julia is in my prayers throughout each day🙏🏼💕
In the love of Jesus💕
I love Julia’s haircut, she is so adorable 🥰
Praying! Praying for wisdom, strength, and no side effects. She looks so cute with her new haircut. I love that verse in Isaiah. His promises and character are true! He gave me that verse for my mama March of last year when she was in the hospital and it has proven true. In the weakest of states for her and for our family caring for her, He has provided strength in His mercy. I know you’ve seen this first hand as well friend. Love you guys ♥️
