3rd Week Delay - IM

Tuesday 11/14 update - 7am

Julia had a really nice week, I took her to the HB park to hang out for a few hours and have a picnic. She looked so beautiful and kept talking about all the fun she had & repeating everything we did. Feeling beyond thankful for moments like this.

My precious little Juju didn't make numbers again, this is the 3rd week. She was short on ANC (immunity to fight infections) & her blood count dropped. Also her potassium dropped to very low levels. She needed an immediate infusion today, oral potassium (which taste terrible) was given and prescribed. She has one more oral dose tomorrow, and back in the office Wednesday for another potassium infusion & potential blood transfusion. Her heart rate has been elevated - it could be both low potassium & low hemoglobin, something we are watching closely.

They ran an additional blood work called Retic, which measures how the bone marrow is performing and if it's creating RBC - the results were favorable, this is good news. It's just taking time for RBC to reach count, likely because of the cold from a couple of weeks ago and the chemotherapy from 4 weeks ago still working through her body.
