Hello family! Juju is all about hearts and Valentine’s vibes this season—guess she gets that from her mama!
Today she started Cycle 4 of maintenance and had a busy clinic day: lumbar puncture chemo under sedation, infusion chemo, prophylactic treatments, and a new round of steroids that last 5 days. Her lab results came back good, exactly where they need to be. Three weeks ago, we went to the ER after she spiked a fever and tested positive for Rhyno and Covid (not C19). She’s been through a lot lately.
She also received an infusion to boost her low globulin count. Normal is 500, and hers was 200, so we’re hopeful this will strengthen her immune system to fight off the little viruses she’s been battling for months.
In good news, her leg mass shrank slightly from .11cm in December to .9cm in January—praise God! Another ultrasound will be done in three months. Please continue praying for it to shrink.
Julia also got new glasses and adapted instantly—yay! She’s not at her full prescription yet, but it’s a big step. And she lost her second tooth—she’s so brave and funny, even trying to catch the tooth fairy!
We’ve been cautious since she fought a new virus last month, keeping her home and masking during outings. We’ve still had some fun with field trips, ballet classes, and Juju’s spunky energy. As one friend put it, Juju is a riot—wherever she goes, there's fun, sass, and cuteness.
Thank you all for your constant prayers and love. A mom I met on a field trip shared that her family prays for Julia every night and keeps a prayer card in her Bible. These moments remind me that we are surrounded by God’s love and His people, and we’re not alone in this battle.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our beautiful sweet Julia to you. We thank you and praise you Lord that she is ever before you, in your heart and in your mind as you have carried her and her family through these last few years. We thank you that she is a little more than 7 months from end of treatment. We pray in Jesus name for full and complete remission, that this cancer will be gone to return never again in any form at any time. Please heal JuJu's leg and protect her from germs during these winter months. May she and her family experience wonderful times together filled with joy and peace as we approach Valentine's.
